Many an old Africa hand will tell you that Zimbabwe is one the best places in Africa to visit and experience a safari. From its amazing scenery to the range of wildlife in its parks and reserves, to the friendly people and fine accommodation. The jewel in its crown is Victoria Falls in the south west and its borders with Zambia, Botswana and Namibia, but other exquisite pearls include Hwange National Park, Mana Pools, the Matopos Hills, Lake Kariba and the Eastern Highlands. Some of the very best wildlife guides in Africa are based here and a safari experience anywhere in Zimbabwe will be exceptional.

How about a Starry Sleepout in the bush? As part of a stay in a game lodge in one of the reserves, a number of them now offer guests the chance to spend the night under the stars in a comfy bed (with mosquito net) in a secure place where you can watch the amazing night sky and listen to the night time activities of the animals as they go about their business. Watch the sunrise before being collected and have a welcome hearty breakfast.

Stay in a luxurious tented lodge on the Zambezi River plain, or perhaps enjoy dawn and dusk game drives or daytime guided game walks, experience the thrill of a Starry Sleep out in Hwange National Park or stay in a Bedouin style luxury tent on the banks of the Zambezi and visit Victoria Falls and see their majesty from the air on a ‘Flight of the Angels’ completing the day enjoying a sundowner cruise on the mighty Zambezi River. The choices are endless!
